A portable temperature-stable storage device 100 comprising a primary 110 chamber configured to store an object； a secondary chamber 120 comprising a first barrier 121 providing, when open, access from outside the device to inside the second chamber and, when closed, preventing access from outside the device to inside the secondary chamber, and a second barrier 122 providing access from the secondary chamber to the primary chamber when open and preventing access from the secondary chamber to the primary chamber when closed, wherein the second barrier is adjustable between open and closed when the first barrier is closed. The device may comprise means (227, fig. 2) for removing fluid from the secondary or primary chamber. The means may be a valve between the secondary chamber and the outside of the device and a movable means within the secondary chamber wherein fluid is transferred through the valve when the movable means is moved with respect to the valve. The second barrier may be automatically controlled between open and closed, or may be manually adjustable. The device may comprise a third barrier providing access to the primary chamber from outside the device when open and prevent access when closed.
