PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound probe for performing both of B mode image generation and highly accurate sound speed measurement.SOLUTION: The ultrasound probe includes multiple channel vibrators arrayed in an azimuth direction each of which has first ultrasound transducer 4 centrally located in an elevation direction and second transducers 5 located on both sides. An ultrasound beam for B mode image is transmitted/received through a simultaneous aperture C1 for B mode image, which is formed by the first ultrasound transducer 4 over prescribed N1 channels.
