It is described a device (120) for stimulating the osteogenesis of a traumatized bone (130) being fixed by means of a bone stabilizing implant (110). The device (120) comprises a first component part (222) comprising a first electrode, an isolating element (223), which is mounted at the first component part (222), a second component part (224) comprising a second electrode, which is mounted at the isolating element (223) such that the first electrode (222) and the second electrode (224) are electrically isolated from each other, and a power generation unit (225), which is electrically coupled both to the first electrode (222) and to the second electrode (224). Thereby, the first component part (222) is designed to be attached to the implant (110) in such a manner that the second component part (224) intrudes in a region defined by a trauma (131) within the bone (130). It is further described a medical system for stimulating the osteogenesis of a traumatized bone (130), the medical system (100) comprising a bone stabilizing implant (110), which is adapted to be fixed to the traumatized bone (130), and an osteogenesis stimulation device (120) as has been described above.
