The present invention relates to anti-bacterial activity of an extract isolated from the soil actinomycete, Streptomyces bungoensis MJM2077 strain. The extract isolated from the strain has an inhibitory effect on multi-drug resistant strains. The present inventors first isolated echinomycin as an active ingredient from an extract of Streptomyces bungoensis having excellent inhibitory activity on the multi-drug resistant strains, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Entercoccus sp. (VRE). The thermal stability and pH stability of the echinomycin were verified, and novel methods for developing antibiotics for oral administration using the echinomycin were introduced.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014토양 방선균 스트렙토마이세스 반고엔시스 MJM2077(Streptomyces bungoensis MJM2077) 균주에서 분리한 추출물이 지닌 항세균 활성에 관한 것이다. 상기 균주에서 분리한 추출물은 다제 내성균주에 대한 억제효과를 가진다.본 발명은 상기 다제 내성균주인 MRSA(methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus)와 VRE(vancomycin resistant Entercoccus sp.)에 대한 억제활성이 뛰어난 스트렙토마이세스 반고엔시스의 추출물로부터 유효성분인 에키노마이신을 처음으로 분리하였다. 상기 에키노마이신의 열 안정성과 pH 안정성을 검증하였으며, 이를 이용한 새로운 경구투여용 항생제 개발 방법을 제시하였다.
