The purpose of the present invention is to provide a composition containing a biologically active substance, which has good moldability to such an extent that a satisfactory granular preparation can be prepared therefrom without the need of cutting using a water-cooled cutter, and which can fulfill the performance required for a lumen-bypassing preparation or the like. The composition containing a biologically active substance according to the present invention comprises: 10 to 50 mass% of a protecting substance which comprises (1a) a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having a melting point of lower than 50 DEG C and having 8 to 24 carbon atoms, (1b) a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having a melting point of 50 DEG C or higher and having 8 to 24 carbon atoms and (2) a calcium salt of a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, which has a calcium content of 8 to 12 mass% and having 12 to 24 carbon atoms； and 50 to 90 mass% of the biologically active substance which is dispersed in the protecting substance.本發明之目的在於提供一種含有生物學活性物質之組合物，其具有即便不使用水冷式切割器進行切斷亦可獲得良好之顆粒製劑之程度之良好之成形性，且可滿足對過瘤胃(rumen bypass)製劑等所要求之性能。本發明之含有生物學活性物質之組合物含有：含有熔點未達50℃且具有8~24個碳原子之直鏈或支鏈之飽和或不飽和之脂肪族單羧酸(1a)、熔點為50℃以上且具有8~24個碳原子之直鏈或支鏈之飽和或不飽和之脂肪族單羧酸(1b)、及鈣含量為8~12質量%且具有12~24個碳原子之直鏈或支鏈之飽和或不飽和之脂肪族單羧酸之鈣鹽(2)的保護物質10~50質量%，與分散至該保護物質中而成之生物學活性物質50~90質量%。
