L'invention concerne un procédé de détection automatique d'éléments d'intérêt dans des signaux électrophysiologiques, ainsi qu'un détecteur pour la mise en œuvre d'un tel procédé. Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes selon lesquelles : on fournit des signaux électrophysiologiques ； on réalise une représentation temps-fréquence blanchie desdits signaux électrophysiologiques ； on établit un seuil ； on applique ce seuil à la représentation temps-fréquence blanchie ； et on détecte, dans la représentation temps-fréquence blanchie, des maxima locaux qui sont supérieurs ou égaux au seuil appliqué.
