PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new technology that is effective for controlling pests such as cabbage moth damaging agricultural and horticultural crops, the technology that is available regardless of areas.SOLUTION: A method is provided for preventing the flying and coming of cabbage moth pests to agricultural and horticultural crop cultivation fields and/or facilities using noise. The method comprises applying the noise being an associated wave where the acoustic parameters of the noise for inhibiting the movement of the cabbage moth pests are the parameters shown in (a) to (b) to the agricultural and horticultural crop cultivation fields and/or facilities, and thereby inhibiting the flying movement of adults of the cabbage moth pests.
