PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood preserving agent which allows the aseptic properties and termite repellency of wood to be maintained for a long period and improves finish without impairing the original color tone of wood.SOLUTION: The wood preserving agent includes: an oil which contains a hinokitiol component an emulsifier which contains at least polyoxyethylene tridecyl ether phosphate or polyoxyethylene styrenated phenyl ether ammonium sulfate at least one vinyl monomer selected from polyethylene glycol-based vinyl monomer, zinc sulfonate-based vinyl monomer, amine-based vinyl monomer, and quaternary ammonium chloride-based vinyl monomer and water.【課題】長期にわたって木材の防腐及び防蟻性能を持続させることができるとともに、木材本来の色調を損なわずに仕上性を良好なものとすることができる木材保存剤を提供する。【解決手段】ヒノキチオール成分含有油と、ポリオキシエチレントリデシルエーテルリン酸エステルまたはポリオキシエチレンスチレン化フェニルエーテル硫酸アンモニウムを少なくとも含む乳化剤と、ポリエチレングリコール系ビニルモノマー、スルホン酸亜鉛系ビニルモノマー、アミン系ビニルモノマー、第4級アンモニウムクロリド系ビニルモノマーから選択される少なくとも1種のビニルモノマーと、水と、を含む、木材保存剤としたものである。【選択図】なし
