PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter and a balloon catheter in which an outer layer is hardly peeled off from an inner layer even when the outer layer is pulled in an axial direction (tip direction or rear end direction).SOLUTION: In a catheter 1, an outer layer 40 includes a protrusion 50 that penetrates into a gap 25 more deeply than a reinforcement layer (coil body) 30, and extends in an axial direction at a position of a recess 24 of an inner layer 10 so that bonding strength between the inner layer 10 and the outer layer 40 has improved. Also, by an anchor effect that the protrusion 50 of the outer layer 40 is caught in the reinforcement layer (coil body) 30, a risk of the outer layer 40 being peeled off from the inner layer 10 can be reduced even when the outer layer 40 is pulled in an axial direction (tip direction or rear end direction) in a narrow section or an occluded section when the catheter 1 is inserted into a blood vessel, a biliary tract, a pancreatic duct, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】 本発明は、外層が軸方向(先端方向及び後端方向)に引っ張られた場合でも、外層が内層から剥離しにくいカテーテル及びバルーンカテーテルを提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】カテーテル1では、外層40が、内層10の凹部24の位置に、間隙25を貫通して補強層(コイル体)30よりも深く入り込み、かつ、軸方向に延びた突起部50を有していることで、内層10と外層40との接合強度が向上し、かつ、外層40の突起部50が補強層(コイル体)30に引っ掛かるアンカー効果により、カテーテル1を血管、胆管、膵管等を挿入した際に、狭窄部又は閉塞部で外層40が軸方向(先端方向及び後端方向)に引っ張られた場合でも、外層40が内層10から剥離する恐れを低減することができる。【選択図】図3
