The invention relates to a cylindrical device for the flow-through of fluid, which comprises at least two pressure sensors by means of which a pressure of the fluid can be measured in the interior of the device. The invention also relates to a pulse wave measurement system comprising such a cylindrical device, by which the speed of pulse waves can be measured in the cylindrical device. The invention further relates to a method for measuring the pulse wave speed in the cylindrical device. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method and a device for measuring the elasticity of a fluid line.
