The invention relates to a self-propelled machine for agriculture, having asupport structure (T) whichreceives various attachment devices (2), has at least one drive assembly (3)having a control module(4), is movable by means of ground supports (B, B') on the end, and forms anagricultural gantrysystem, having at least one base carrier (6), for variable work tasks, whichgantry system, proceedingfrom a road orientation defining a travel width (dimension FB), can beconverted to a workingorientation having a substantially larger working width (AB), wherein thesupport structure (T) haslateral carriers (ST, ST') comprising the ground supports (B, B'). The supportstructure defining alongitudinal orientation in the road orientation has, in the region of its twoground supports (B, B') onthe end thereof, a vertical longitudinal center plane (M) extendingtherebetween. In spatialorientation thereto, a functional frame (FR, FR') having an asymmetrical basecarrier (6') is proposed asa support structure. According to the invention, the base carrier (6),proceeding from the longitudinaldimension (FB) of the possible travel width(s), is connected to the at leastone lateral carrier (ST, ST') inan outer third (TD, TD') of said longitudinal dimension (FB).
