PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image diagnostic apparatus which monitors malfunction in an X-ray generation unit generating X-rays and gives warning.SOLUTION: For detecting vibration of a rotary anode type X-ray tube device, an X-ray image diagnostic apparatus 1 is mounted on a vibration detector 5 (distortion sensor). The distortion sensor is mounted on a position striding, for example, an arm 11 and an X-ray generation unit 12 to detect the vibration of the rotary anode type X-ray tube device as an amount of distortion. The X-ray image diagnostic apparatus 1 holds a predetermined amount of distortion in generation of abnormal sound as a threshold value 25a for determining a warning level. A control unit 23 detects the amount of distortion with the distortion sensor before or during use of the device, and determines the warning level by comparing the detected amount of distortion with the threshold value 25a.
