The present invention relates to a method for operating a shim unit, a control unit, and a magnetic resonance device. Provided is the method for operating the shim unit capable of operating the shim unit of the magnetic resonance device while photographing magnetic resonance of a tested object to operate an improved shim unit. The method for operating the shim unit comprises: a step of providing a slope pulse shape depending on specifications of magnetic resonance sequences used for magnetic resonance photographing of the tested object； a step of modifying the slope pulse shape； a step of generating shim setting by using the modified slope pulse shape； and a step of operating the shim unit by using the shim setting.
