The invention provides a method for controlling whiteflies which comprises the steps of: providing a composition comprising or consisting of R-curcumene and optionally further beta-myrcene, para-cymene, gamma-terpinene, alpha-terpinene, alpha-phellandrene zingiberene and/or 7-epi-zingiberene and adding said composition one or more times to a plurality of crop plants. The method can be combined with the use of attractant compositions comprising beta-phellandrene, limonene and/or 2-carene, and optionally adding said composition one or more times to one or more trap plants and/or trap materials.La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de lutter contre les mouches blanches, qui consiste à : élaborer une composition comprenant ou se composant de R-curcumène et éventuellement de bêta-myrcène, para-cymène, gamma-terpinène, alpha-terpinène, alpha-phellandrène zingibérène et/ou 7-épi-zingibérène et pulvériser ladite composition une ou plusieurs fois sur une pluralité de cultures. Ce procédé peut être utilisé en association avec des compositions destinées à attirer lesdites mouches, qui se composent de bêta-phellandrène, limonène et/ou 2-carène, en pulvérisant éventuellement lesdites compositions une ou plusieurs fois sur au moins une plante ou un matériau ayant une fonction de piège.
