A catheter adapted for ablation has multiple dedicated irrigation tubings tosupply fluid totheir respective electrode or set of electrodes. The tubings provide parallelflow pathways throughthe catheter where irrigation fluid is delivered to irrigated tip and/or ringelectrodes which canaccomplish uni-polar or bi-polar ablation. Such separate and dedicated fluidpathways allow fluidto be delivered to the corresponding electrode or set of electrodes atdifferent flow rates. Anintegrated ablation system using such catheter has an ablation energy sourceand an irrigation pumpwith multiple pump heads that can operate independently of each other. Anintegrated irrigationtubing set is included to extend between the fluid source and the catheter,with each pump headbeing able to act on a different tubing that delivers fluid to a differentelectrode or set of electrodes.
