PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice containing wet process silica granules, concretely the dentifrice enabling beautifying effects of the granules and stain-removing effects by the touch feeling of the granules in the oral cavity to be recognized, and hardly giving unpleasant foreign body sensation regardless of the granules having strength and sizes allowing the granules to be recognized by touch feeling in the oral cavity because the granules are gradually disintegrated in the process of tooth brushing.SOLUTION: The method for producing the dentifrice involves formulating the wet process silica granules having particle diameters passing 30 mesh sieve but not passing 200 mesh sieve, 30-800 gf/mm2 disintegrating strength per one granule, and &le150 RDA value of grinding force, and free from a binder.
