A sheath used to protect a medical device has one or more strips formed over a portion thereof. The medical device is a scaffold crimped to a balloon and mounted to a catheter. The sheath is two-piece, including a protecting and constraining sheath part. The strips facilitate removal of the constraining sheath from the scaffold in manner that reduces instances of damage caused by improper removal of the sheath from the medical device.La présente invention concerne une gaine utilisée pour protéger un dispositif médical comportant une ou plusieurs bandes formées par-dessus une partie de celle-ci. Le dispositif médical est une structure enserrant un ballonnet et montée sur un cathéter. La gaine est en deux parties, comprenant une partie gaine de protection et de contrainte. Les bandes facilitent le retrait de la gaine de contrainte de la structure de manière à réduire la survenue de dommages provoqués par un mauvais retrait de la gaine du dispositif médical.
