PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To focus radiation on diseased tissue without using isotropic radiation which is likely to unnecessarily expose surrounding healthy tissue to radiation. The present invention relates to a strontium-90 sealed radiation source or radioactive source 100 as may be used in the treatment of eyes, other medical processes, or industrial processes. The sealed radiation source comprises an annular strontium radioactive insert 130 and its outer envelope 102. The outer packaging material has a high shielding property in the central portion thereof.
