The present invention relates to a production method for a liquid cleansing composition, the method comprising a step of adding an oil moiety to a D phase (surfactant phase) containing a surfactant and polyol so as to produce an O/D phase, and producing an aqueous moiety containing water, and then placing, dispersing, cooling, and filtering the aqueous moiety in the already produced O/D phase. According to the present invention, producing a liquid crystal cleansing composition by means of the production method of the present invention is advantageous in that cleansing functionality, feel during use and moisturizing ability are outstanding while at the same time there is very little skin irritation, the external appearance is transparent and the liquid crystal phase is stable over a long time.
