PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image noise while maintaining an image representing a micro structure of an object in an image obtained by radiation tomography.SOLUTION: An image processor is provided, which includes extraction means for extracting radiation high absorption areas by threshold processing of a pixel value in an image obtained by radiation tomography of an object, detection means for detecting a radiation high absorption area whose size is at a prescribed level or below among the extracted radiation high absorption areas as an area of a micro structure, and processing means for performing first noise reduction of an area of a non-micro structure different from the area of the micro structure, and performing second noise reduction whose noise reduction effect is smaller than that of the first noise reduction of the area of the micro structure or performing prescribed processing that does not substantially perform noise reduction among all areas of the image.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】放射線断層撮影により得られた画像において、被写体の微小な構造物を表す像を維持しつつ画像ノイズを抑制する。【解決手段】被写体の放射線断層撮影により得られた画像において、画素値の閾値処理により放射線高吸収領域を抽出する抽出手段と、抽出された放射線高吸収領域のうち大きさが所定レベル以下のものを微小構造物の領域として検出する検出手段と、上記画像の全領域のうち、微小構造物の領域とは異なる非微小構造物の領域に対しては第1のノイズ低減が成され、微小構造物の領域に対しては第1のノイズ低減よりノイズ低減効果が小さい第2のノイズ低減が成されるかノイズ低減が実質的に成されない所定の処理を行う処理手段と、を備えた画像処理装置を提供する。【選択図】図3
