The electromotive furniture drive is distinguished in that at least two proximity and/or contact detectors are formed by in each case one sensor or a group of sensors together with the at least one evaluation circuit (10), it being possible for said proximity and/or contact detectors to be assigned to different moving furniture parts (5, 6) of the item of functional furniture (1).
