PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool capable of easily protecting a wound long object with a door part and securely retaining the long object at an optionally selected position, and allowing the long object to be easily wound around a spool while stably holding an attachment member even if the long object has an attachment member such as a fish hook.SOLUTION: The spool includes a cylindrical body (2) and a pair of flange parts (3) extended outward in the radial direction from both ends of the body (2). A winding part (5) around which the long object is wound is formed in the periphery of the body (2) between the flange parts (3). The annular door part (7) is extended to the outer peripheral edge (6a) of a first flange part (3a) of the flange parts (3), and the posture of the door part (7) is changed to a closed posture with the distal end of the door body (7) displaced to a second flange part (3b) side, or to an opened posture with the distal end of the door part (7) separated from the second flange part (3b). A groove-shaped locking part (10) is formed inward in the radial direction from the outer peripheral end (6b) in the second flange part (3b).
