PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve continuity of elastic images in formation of elastic images having a plurality of time phases.SOLUTION: A frame selection unit 40 selects an object frame being an object of displacement arithmetic and a plurality of pair candidate frames out of a plurality of frames corresponding to a plurality of time phases stored in a frame storage unit 30. A displacement arithmetic unit 50 obtains a displacement frame for each pair candidate frame by displacement arithmetic based on the object frame and each pair candidate frame. A continuity determination unit 60 selects a representative displacement frame with the determination condition of continuity from the plurality of displacement frames corresponding to the plurality of pair candidate frames.
