PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and high-rigidity handle of a fishing reel having a high specific strength and a high specific rigidity, and allowing enhancement of the strength, particularly in a hole part region where caulking is carried out.SOLUTION: A handle arm 31 is formed by laminating prepreg sheets made of a carbon-fiber reinforced resin along the thickness direction thereof. All of a plurality of interlayers 70 laminated between surface layers 60 and 61 on both sides forming a first surface 50 and a second surface 51 on the opposite side accompanying the caulking comprise unidirectional layers obtained by parallelling fibers in one direction. The thickness of the whole first unidirectional layers 70A obtained by parallelling the fibers nearly parallel to the longitudinal direction L of the handle arm 31 is the largest in the thickness of the whole unidirectional layers 70. The second unidirectional layers 70B in which the fibers form an angle of nearly 90° to the longitudinal direction L of the handle arm 31 near at least the hole part where the caulking is carried out are disposed more on the side of the first surface 50 than on the side of the second surface 51.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】比強度および比剛性が高く、特にカシメが行なわれる孔部領域における強度を高めることができる、軽量で高剛性の魚釣用リールのハンドルを提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係るハンドルアーム31は、その厚さ方向に沿って炭素繊維強化樹脂製のプリプレグシートを積層することによって形成される。カシメを伴う第1の面50および反対側の第2の面51を形成する両側の表層60,61間で積層される複数の中間層70の全ては、繊維が一方向に引き揃えられて成る一方向層から成る。一方向層70全体の厚さの中でハンドルアーム31の長手方向Lと略平行に繊維が引き揃えられて成る第1の一方向層70Aの全体の厚さが最も大きい。カシメが行われる少なくとも孔部近傍において繊維がハンドルアーム31の長手方向Lに対して略90度の角度を成す第2の一方向層70Bを第2の面51側よりも第1の面50側の方において多く配して成る。【選択図】 図6
