The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing hair loss, stimulating hair growth, and treating prostatic hypertrophy including polygonum multiflorum Thunberg characterized in including a medicinal herb, which is a mixture of polygonum multiflorum Thunberg, Rehmanniae Radix, Rehmanniae Radix Preparata, Asparagus cochinchinensis Merr., Liriope muscari, Chinese matrimony vine, Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, Korean angelica root, and black bean. According to the present invention, by preparing the pharmaceutical composition including polygonum multiflorum Thunberg, hair loss can be prevented or alleviated and hair growth can be promoted. Further, according to the present invention, by preparing the pharmaceutical composition including the polygonum multiflorum Thunberg, the concentration of 5-alpha-reductase II can be significantly inhibited, thereby exerting an excellent effect on treatment of prostatic hypertrophy.본 발명은 하수오, 생지황, 숙지황, 천문동, 맥문동, 구기자, 여정자, 당귀 및 검정콩이 혼합된 한약재를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 하수오를 포함하는 탈모예방, 발모촉진 및 전립선 비대증 치료용 약학적 조성물 및 그의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 하수오를 포함하는 약학적 조성물을 제조함으로써, 탈모를 예방 또는 개선하여 발모를 촉진시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.또한, 본 발명에 따르면, 하수오를 포함하는 약학적 조성물을 제조함으로써, 5-알파 레덕타아제 Ⅱ의 농도를 현저히 억제할 수 있어 전립선 비대증 치료에 우수한 효과를 나타낼 수 있다.
