The present invention relates to an egg-collecting device, configured to collect eggs that are arranged on a ground surface, comprising a device body, a displacement system, an egg, 5 and a collector. The collector comprises a collector fork with a plurality of teeth and the device is configured to move the fork between a lowered position and a raised position. The device is, when the fork is arranged in its lowered position, configured to collect the eggs with its teeth, and, when the fork is arranged in its raised position, configured to transport the collected eggs 10 from the fork towards the storage. The present invention further relates to a method for collecting eggs with an egg- collecting device, comprising the steps of arranging an egg-collecting device on a ground surface, moving the device towards a location at which an egg is arranged on the ground surface, moving teeth of the fork underneath the egg, raising the fork to a raised position, and 15 transporting the collected egg from the fork towards an egg storage of the device.
