A method of joint arthroplasty includes obtainingan image of at least a portion of the tibial plateau. An outerperiphery of at least a portion of the tibial plateau is derivedbased, at least in part, on the image. An implant is provided forthe tibial plateau, the implant having a periphery that includesan outer edge that substantially matches the derived outer peripheryof the tibial plateau.
