The present invention relates a tourniquet, where tightening of the tourniquet is performed by linear motion by pulling a pull-cord. The tourniquet comprises a tensioning device and a strap. The first end of the strap is coupled to the tensioning device. The second end of the strap is wrapped around a limb and fixed to the tensioning device. The tightening of the tourniquet is achieved by pulling a pull-cord. Linear motion by the pull-cord is translated into winding up the strap inside the tensioning device, and thereby achieving a time-effective tightening of the tourniquet without the need of high forces.La présente invention concerne un garrot, dont le serrage est réalisé par un mouvement linéaire en tirant un cordon de tirage. Le garrot comprend un dispositif de tension et une sangle. La première extrémité de la sangle est accouplée au dispositif de tension. La seconde extrémité de la sangle est enroulée autour d'un membre et fixée au dispositif de tension. Le serrage du garrot est obtenu en tirant un cordon de tirage. Le mouvement linéaire du cordon de tirage est traduit en enroulement de la sangle à l'intérieur du dispositif de tension, ce qui permet d'obtenir un serrage du garrot efficace dans le temps sans nécessiter de forces élevées.
