To provide a mist generator which properly restrains a large amount of liquid from being stuck and stayed ON the lower surface of an upper wall of a housing when an operation is stopped.
SOLUTION: The mist generator MG 1 includes: a rotor 2 for scattering the liquid supplied to the housing H to the surrounding and a plurality of collision wall parts 12 for generating the mist by colliding the liquid scattered from the rotor 2. The whole or a part of the lower surface 10a in the upper wall 10 of the housing H has an inclination surface 10a which is inclined so as to be lower in height toward an area close to an outer peripheral edge from an area close to the center of the lower surface 10a and so that the liquid stuck onto the lower surface 10a is moved toward the outer peripheral edge of the lower surface 10a. The plurality of collision wall parts 12 are arranged between the upper wall 10 and the bottom wall 11 of the housing H and so as to guide the liquid moved toward the outer peripheral edge of the lower surface 10a onto the bottom wall 11.
