The object of present invention is to provide a novel TRPV receptor activator, suitable to improvement of skin barrier function. The object can be solved by providing a TRPV receptor activator that comprises one or two and more of compounds selected from a group consisting of compounds represented by following formula, or extract of plant comprising the corresponding amount of the same compounds as TRPV receptor activator. (in formula, hydroxyl is optionally substituted to methoxy or ethoxy methoxy is optionally substituted to hydroxyl or ethoxy).
