FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: guide represents a three-dimensional solid or demountable complex part comprising a carrier with an inner surface following the relief of a denture base portion applicable for smooth mounting of the guide thereon and connected to the carrier there is also at least one guide shaft with a through hole shaped and sized to enclose the head of a dental handpiece with a burr reciprocating to provide directed drilling of a patients jaw bone at a preset depth. The guide shaft is mounted on the carrier to ensure the coaxial motion of the guide shaft with the projected position of a dental implant in the jaw bone. A method for manufacturing the guide involves forming the digital image of the patients jaw with the denture base and the digital image of the patients dental arch and gums within the denture base, aligning the formed images in the virtual space to produce a three-dimensional virtual dentofacial model, forming the virtual model of the guide in the virtual space of the produced dentofacial model the guide is supposed to comprise the carrier and at least one guide shaft. That is ensured by first placing at least one virtual implant having the geometry similar to the one to be mounted, in the space of the dentofacial jaw bone. The guide shaft is designed taking into account the spatial position of the head of the dental handpiece with the burr having a rigid length the burr is ensured positioned in alignment and at the same depth with the virtual implant, whereas the inner surface of the guide shaft is configured to ensure the reciprocation of the head of the dental handpiece that is followed by designing the carrier in the form of the three-dimensional part following the relief of the denture base portion applicable for smooth mounting of the guide thereon thereafter the produced virtual model of the guide is followed to make the type specimen to be used during implantation surgery.EFFECT: inventions enable directed drilling of the patients
