The substrate comprises sliding surfaces made from a non-ferrous material, particularly alloys of cobalt, chromium and molybdenum, with a coating of alternating nanolayers of niobium and chromium nitrides protected by a microlayer of chromium nitride. The structure of the nano and micro-layers is repeated from 1-20 times. The distance between the outer chromium-nitride nanolayer and the protection obtained with the chromium-nitride microlayer is 2-10 micrometers, the thickness of the nanolayer is 1-10 nanometers and the sum of the nanolayers is 2-10 micrometers.
