PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication device, an authentication control method and an entering/leaving management system easily operable without decreasing accuracy in authentication.SOLUTION: The biometric authentication device of the invention comprises: a biological information input section for acquiring user biological information to generate authentication biological data； a storage section for storing previously registered registration biological data and determination thresholds of two scores of personal authentication and quasi-personal authentication for each user； and an authentication control section for comparing the registration biological data with the authentication biological data to calculate a score indicating a matching degree of the data, and determines one authentication state among the personal authentication, the quasi-personal authentication and authentication failure on the basis of the thresholds of the two scores. The biometric authentication device further comprises a notification section for displaying authentication success or the authentication failure and performing guide display to help for the case of the authentication failure, and the authentication control section displays the authentication failure and performs the guide display when determining that it is a quasi-personal authentication state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】認証精度を低下することなく、容易に運用可能な生体認証装置、認証制御方法および入退室管理システムを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の生体認証装置は、ユーザの生体情報を取得して認証生体データを生成する生体情報入力部と、予め登録された登録生体データと、本人認証と準本人認証の２つのスコアの判定閾値とをユーザごとに記憶する記憶部と、登録生体データと認証生体データを照合して、データの一致度をあらわすスコアを算出し、２つのスコアの判定閾値により、本人認証と準本人認証と認証失敗のうちのひとつの認証状態を判定する認証制御部と、を備えるようにした。また、さらに、認証の成功または失敗を表示するとともに、認証失敗に対する救済のための案内表示を行う通知部を備え、認証制御部は、準本人の認証状態と判定したときに、認証失敗の表示を行うとともに、案内表示を行うようにした。【選択図】 図１
