A cosmetic preparation for the temporary deformation of keratinous fibres comprising [a] at least one copolymer which comprises [a1] quaternated N-vinylimidazoles, such as 3-methyl-1-vinylimidazolium methyl sulfate, [a2] quaternated N-vinyllactams, the copolymer [a] preferably has the INCI designation Polyquaternium-68, e.g. Luviquat (RTM) Supreme, and [b] at least one crosslinked copolymer having structural units (B-I) and (B-II), Wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl group, R3 is (C8-C30)-alkyl group, M+ is a physiologically tolerated cation and X is an integer 5-35. The crosslinked polymer [b] is preferably Balance (RTM) RCF. Also disclosed is use and method for the temporary shaping of keratinous fibres comprising applying the cosmetic composition.
