An electric fence connector having live engagement means and live attachment means and optionally isolated engagement means and isolated attachment means. The electric fence connector preferably has a maximum lateral dimension such as to allow it to pass through an aperture of an electric fence standard. In one aspect this may be achieved by longitudinally offsetting the live engagement means and isolated engagement means. The electric fence connector may be formed by injection moulding plastics material around a conductive element so as easily and inexpensively form a compact a rugged connector.
