Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an apparatus and method to capture prosthetic metrics of a human stump. The apparatus comprises a seating mechanism with threedimensional (3D) freedom of motion to hold the human in a secure position, an extendable support mechanism to hold the human stump in a position for collecting the prosthetic metrics and a drum mechanism comprising an imaging device to capture a plurality of images of the human stump and an indexing mechanism to move the imaging device to a position for capturing the plurality of images by reducing interference. The captured plurality of images facilitates manufacturing of a prosthetic for the human stump. Fig. 1
