PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time lag from a request for photography to the X-ray emission, and to reduce the irregularity in the time lag.
SOLUTION: A panel unit control circuit repeats parallel reset to sequentially read unnecessary signal loads, accumulated in respective pixels of an FPD, a plurality of lines at a time when a reset mode is set by a system controller. The panel unit control circuit 28 starts sequential reset after termination of the executed parallel reset when the request for photography requesting the FPD to detect X-rays is received. In the sequential reset, the unnecessary signal loads accumulated in the respective pixels in the FPD are read sequentially one line at a time.
