The vertebral implant (2) concerned comprises screw holes (7a, 7b) intended to receive screws for anchoring this implant to vertebrae. According to the invention, the implant (2) is part of an assembly (1) formed by this implant (2) and by a sighting guide (3) allowing the drilling of the bone of the vertebrae for the arrangement of holes intended to receive said anchor screws； the implant (2) has a ruptible portion (25) projecting from its anterior wall (2a), forming a means (26) for assembly to the aiming guide (3), and the aiming guide (3) forms a means (27) for assembly to the implant (2)； said breakable portion (25) has breaking means making it possible to break this breakable portion (25) in order to release the sighting guide (3) with respect to the implant (2).
