PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted crystal oscillator structured to prevent a mount defect from being incurred by an underfill material creeping up on an inner wall of a recess in which an IC chip is packaged, to form an insulator film in a mounting terminal.SOLUTION: A container body 5 formed from a multilayered ceramic sheet includes a first recess 30 for accommodating a vibrator and a second recess 40 for accommodating an IC chip, and the second recess 40 is formed from a second frame wall 4 of the multilayered ceramic sheet of two or more layers. A mounting terminal 19 is included on an opening end face of the second frame wall 4, and the multilayered ceramic sheet including a top layer forming the opening end face including the mounting terminal 19 protrudes inside of the second recess 40 to form eaves as an overhang part 22. Therefore, an underfill material injected into the second recess 40 is prevented from creeping up to a surface of the mounting terminal 19.
