The present application is related to a method which allows direct formation of gel-like solutions of polyglucosamine at neutral pH 7 to 8, eliminiating the need of prior dissolution of polyglucosamine in acidic environment, and to a homogenous liquid combination of polyglucosamine-glyoxylate in hyaluronan. Also disclosed is the use of these solutions in the treatment of joint conditions such as osteoarthritis.
