To provide a greening pavement construction method and greening pavement structure and capable of being formed at low cost in a short period.
SOLUTION: Foamed glass 10 with 10-50 mm of an average particle size having a continuous pore is scatteredly laid ON an existing paved road 5, to form a water holding layer 6 by compactification and a culture soil 12 is laid ON the water holding layer 6 to form a greening layer 7. The water holding layer 6 is easily formed to a desired thickness, since the foamed glass 10 is scatteredly laid ON the hard existing paved road 5 to be compactified and the water holding layer 6 is formed to be suitable for growing a plant planted in the greening layer 7. The existing paved road 5 is not required to be chipped in greening and to dispense with carry-out of chipped pavement.
