PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing Pinus plants comprising raising a rooting ratio via cuttage so as to easily and inexpensively increase resistant-variety Pinus plants. SOLUTION: The method for increasing Pinus plants comprises the following process: growing a plurality of seedlings using Pinus plant seeds excellent in certain kinds of resistance characteristics; checking the seedlings regarding existence of the resistance characteristics to select the seedlings richly succeeding the resistance characteristics; pruning the branches of the selected seedlings to germinate; planting germinated sprouts as cuttings to grow a plurality of cuttage seedlings; and cutting the seedlings to establish forest using the cuttage seedlings.
