The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a formulation containing a sitagliptin immediate release layer which comprises following steps of: (a) manufacturing a coating solution by dissolving sitagliptin or pharmaceutically acceptable salt in a highly volatile solvent； and (b) coating a sustained release layer with the coating solution.
