Color powders have always been popular worldwide at different occasions and festivals. Earlier, these are made up of dried flowers and herbs but later use of chemical colors came into practice because of it being cost- effective. It was later found that chemical colors have dangerous and sometimes lethal effects due to which divergence of people occurred again towards herbal colors. Herbal colors which are in market now a days contain corn starch and talc as their main constituents and are quite famous. Studies reveal that starch and talc are also associated with serious ill-effects and can prove to be life-threatening. Corn starch is combustible and can easily catch fire when provided with favorable conditions and talc is an allergen and carcinogen which can elucidate severe skin and breathing problems. So, we have come up with a color powder formulation of natural origin which is also corn-starch and talc fiee. It is completely safe, noncombustible and skin -friendly.
