PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird damage preventing device capable of easily being installed on and removed from an overhead distribution line.SOLUTION: In a bird damage preventing device 10 which is to be installed on an overhead distribution line 100 for preventing birds from perching on the overhead distribution line 100, the bird damage preventing device 10 comprises: a body part 20 having one end part 22 formed as an integrated closed end, an extension parts 24 branching from the end part 22 into two pieces and extending for a prescribed length, and the other end part 30 with open end parts, which oppose to each other, extending from the extension parts 24 for a prescribed length and a ring member 40, with the one end part 22 of the body part 20 being inserted therein, mounted to the extension parts 24, and making the overhead distribution line held between the opposing other end parts 30 by making the extension parts 24 come closer so that they become fasted.
