Die Erfindung betrifft ein resorbierbares Blockcopolymer der Formel X(BA)n mit endständigen Hydroxylgruppen, wobei n 2,3 oder 4 ist, X ein Rest eines mehrwertigen Alkohols mit zwei bis vier Hydroxylgruppen ist, B ein Weichsegment aus Caprolacton, Trimethylencarbonat und gegebenenfalls Glykolid ist, wobei die Gesamtmenge an Trimethylencarbonat und Caprolacton im Weichsegment bei 80 bis 100 Gew.-% und die von Glykolid bei 0 bis 20 Gew.-% liegt, A ein Hartsegment aus Caprolacton ist und wobei das Gesamtgewichtsverhältnis von Caprolacton zu Trimethylencarbonat im Blockpolymer im Bereich von 65:35 bis 90:10 liegt, das Blockpolymer eine Schmelzenthalpie von mindestens 32 J/g, insbesondere im Bereich von 32 bis 58 J/g besitzt, wobei die Schmelzenthalpie bei einem Gesamtcaprolactonanteil von 65 Gew.-% eher im unteren Teil des Bereichs und bei einem Caprolactonanteil von 90 Gew.-% eher im oberen Teil des Bereichs liegt.
