PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet printing device which can efficiently perform maintenance for discharging ink from a nozzle head.SOLUTION: A tablet printing device includes: a conveyance mechanism 17 which moves a conveyor belt 171 to convey tablets that are sequentially supplied； an ink discharge printing mechanism which has a nozzle head 21 provided with a plurality of nozzles, in which the nozzle head 21 is arranged so as to face the surface of the conveyor belt 171, and which performs printing on a tablet Tb by discharging ink droplets from a plurality of nozzles to the tablet Tb present at a printing position Pp on the conveyor belt 171； and an empty area formation mechanism 162 which forms an empty area Ed where no tablet is present on the conveyor belt 171.
