This invention relates to a grass cutting device (1) which comprises a body equipped with a support (3) for a set of cutting elements (4) which are separate from each other and arranged along a peripheral edge (5) of the support (3) in such a way that they project outwards from it. The grass cutting device also comprises a set of guard elements (6) arranged along said peripheral edge (5) in such a way that between one of the cutting elements (4) and another there is at least one of the guard elements (6).The grass cutting device according to this invention can reduce accidental injuries to the user of the cutting device or other people or animals close to the machinery while it is being used.
