The method for image registration according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: acquiring first image data for a target object that includes first coordinate information； acquiring second image data for the target object that includes second coordinate information, by using a probe； and registering the first image data with the second image data by using the first coordinate information and the second coordinate information.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 영상 정합 방법에 의하면, 좌표계가 서로 대응되도록 정렬된 영상 데이터들 간의 영상 정합이 수행됨에 따라 간단하고 빠르게 높은 품질의 정합 영상이 획득될 수 있다.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 영상 정합 방법은, 제 1 좌표 정보를 포함하는, 대상체에 대한 제 1 영상 데이터를 획득하는 단계, 프로브를 이용하여, 제 2 좌표 정보를 포함하는, 상기 대상체에 대한 제 2 영상 데이터를 획득하는 단계, 상기 제 1 좌표 정보 및 상기 제 2 좌표 정보를 이용하여, 상기 제 1 영상 데이터와 상기 제 2 영상 데이터를 정합하는 단계 를 포함할 수 있다.
