A system and method for detection of a brainstem disorder, such asschizophrenia,by means of brainstem audiometry is disclosed. A subject's responses on thephysicalproperties of sound； frequency, time and amplitude are being detected. Soundstimuli arebeing presented, via a communication element through a hearing organ to thesubject.Elements are attached to the subject for measurement of the subject'selectrophysiologicalbrain activity. Simultaneously, as the mentioned sound stimuli are presentedto the subjecta trig signal is sent out from the organ for generation of stimuli, via a trigbox, further to anorgan for registration of the electro-physiological brain activity in thesubject, whereaftermentioned electrophysiological brain activity is stored and imaged, incomputer equipmentfor determination of a brainstorm disorder in the subject.
